Graphite sketches

I can say all modern artists started with just a pencil or some kind of graphite media in their hand and a clean surface to begin creating art. Until the day they become successful, graphite has always been around with them - to start the rough and raw sketching process to the final touches of shading and highlighting. I - as a child, too, started with just HB & 2B pencils in my pencil case that always went missing or being sharpened until they were barely holdable. I still remember my grandfather, after seeing me sharpening them really often to get the pointy led in order to achieve small details, wrapped a piece of plastic to the end of it so it's easier for me to draw. I used to hide all my drawings from my parents since I was supposed to study during that time. It was good memories even though I've changed to mechanical pencils. These days, I usually use grey leds for planning and sketching.
